30 pounds of methamphetamine seized at Nashville parking lot sale

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WKRN) – Two men were arrested Wednesday after Metro police reportedly witnessed the sale of 30 pounds of methamphetamine in an East Nashville parking lot.

According to an arrest warrant, officers were monitoring the Dickerson Pike neighborhood near Evanston Avenue.

Detectives saw Bernardo Apac, 29, and Fernando Escamilla, 33, carry out an apparent “drug deal” where the two men moved a large plastic tote from the trunk of one vehicle to another, according to the report. Metro police.

Metro police reported that the men were arrested and investigators found 30 pounds of crystal meth inside the tote.

The two men were held in Metro jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell it. Their obligations were set at $ 500,000 each.
