3-year-old girl hit by stray bullet at Longwood Manor Home – NBC Chicago

A 3-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet after two gunmen fired into a house Monday morning in Longwood Manor on the South Side.

The girl was inside the home in the 9800 block of South Throop Street when two men opened fire from outside around 2:20 a.m., Chicago police said.

She was taken by paramedics to Comer Children’s Hospital with a buttock injury, police said. It was listed in good condition.

Police reported no arrests.

She was the second child shot dead on the South Side over the weekend.

On Saturday, a 6-year-old girl was grazed in the thigh by a bullet while she was in the backyard of a house in Calumet Heights.
