2023 WTTC Asian Continental Stage

India’s top stars will be seen in action at the Asian WTTC Continental Stage 2023 tournament, to be held at the Lusail Sports Complex in Doha, Qatar from January 7-13. This tournament will serve as a qualifying event for the World Table Tennis Championship. Championship finals this year.
An 11-member Indian contingent will compete in the Asian continental leg of WTTC 2023. Manika Batra, India’s top women’s singles player, along with veteran Sharath Kamal and G Sathiyan will be in the fray. For the singles events, the players will be divided into 16 groups (A to R) of 5 or 6 players each according to the world ranking. Each group winner will earn a quota place for the WTTC Finals in Durban, which begins on May 20.
Meanwhile, the finalists from each group will also be drawn to play for another eight quota spots. On the other hand, the pairs of doubles will be drawn in eight groups (A to H) of a maximum of eight pairs each according to the rankings. Each group winner earns a quota for the WTTC Finals.
