2 people in custody after shots were fired at and by Chicago police from the Northwest Side


CHICAGO (CBS)– Two people were arrested after shots were fired at and by Chicago police from the Northwest Side overnight.

Police say officers approached a traffic accident in the 5200 block of North Nagle Avenue around 3 a.m. when a man fired shots from inside a vehicle.

Police said an officer returned fire but did not hit anyone.

Police said two offenders fled, but were taken into custody shortly afterwards. According to CBS 2’s Asal Razaei, officers lowered a person from a roof onto a stretcher.

This incident is under investigation.
