PITTSBURGH — Two people are dead and several others are injured after a shooting in Pittsburgh early Sunday morning, police said.
Pittsburgh police said in a news release that the shooting happened at a party at an Airbnb property on the city’s north side. There were more than 200 people inside, many of whom were minors, authorities said.
Police said when officers arrived they saw people fleeing the scene and attempting to escape by jumping out of windows. Several people were taken to hospital.
Two male minors died in hospital, police said. They were not yet identified.
According to the police, no less than 50 bullets were fired inside and several others outside. Rifle and pistol casings were found at the scene, WTAE-TV reported.
Police are processing evidence at no less than eight separate crime scenes spanning a few blocks around where the shooting occurred.
There is no information on the suspects at this time.
