2 bodies removed from Chicago River in separate instances, police say – NBC Chicago

Two bodies were found Saturday in the Chicago River in separate cases, police said.

First, at around 10.40am the body of a female of unknown age was recovered from the water in the 2800 block of South Eleanor. The victim was unconscious and pronounced on the spot, authorities said.

Detectives were investigating the death, pending autopsy results.

Then, at around 11:36 a.m., an unknown woman was found in the water in the 100 block of North Riverside. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Area 3 detectives were investigating, authorities said.
