Taiwan also condemned China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) for “jeopardizing the peace and security of our surrounding region with announcements of military exercises”.
Fifteen Chinese planes crossed the center line of the Taiwan Strait on Monday, the Taiwanese Defense Ministry said even as China conducted more drills near the island.
“As PLA Eastern Theater announced a joint combat patrol mission, #ROCArmedForces detected five PLAN ships and 30 PLA (People’s Liberation Army) aircraft today up to 17:00 (GMT+8). 15 of the detected aircraft had flown on the eastern part of the median line of the Taiwan Strait, flight paths as shown,” the Department of Defense said in a tweet on Monday.

China’s Defense Ministry said in a statement that the lawmakers’ trip undermines China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and “fully exposes the true face of the United States as a mess and a mess of peace.” and stability in the Taiwan Strait”.
“The Chinese People’s Liberation Army continues to train and prepare for war, resolutely uphold national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and will resolutely crush all forms of separatism and foreign interference in “independence of Taiwan,'” Reuters quoted the statement as saying.
