A 13-year-old girl has been arrested for her alleged involvement in the shooting death of a New York cab driver in Queens earlier this month.
The teenager has been charged with gang assault and robbery, police told FOX 5 New York. She is the fourth person arrested in connection with the death of Kutin Gyimah, 52.
Gyimah was a married father of four young children from Ghana, was living with his family in the Bronx and working as a taxi driver on the morning of August 13 when he let out a group of five passengers around 6:30 a.m. near Beach 54 Street and Arverne Boulevard.
Instead of paying for the taxi, the group would have tried to steal Gyimah. Law enforcement sources told WNBC that surveillance footage shows Gyimah pursuing the group on foot, grabbing one of them trying to flee.
