1 dead in County Limestone crash

ARDMORE, Ala. (WHNT) – One person has been killed in a crash involving two cars in Ardmore, Ala. Thursday.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash happened around 2:15 p.m. on Bethel Road near Old School House Road.

Soldiers identified the victim as John William Westbrook III, 66, of Toney. Officials say he was killed when the 2015 Hyundai Sonata he was a passenger in was struck by a 2016 Dodge Ram. Westbrook was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hyundai driver Milly Westbrook, 73, of Toney, was injured in the crash and taken to hospital in Huntsville. The Dodge Ram driver was also taken to hospital.

ALEA, Ardmore Fire and Rescue, Limestone County Sheriffs and Athens/Limestone Ambulance all responded to the crash.
